Co-op: Relevant Work Experience
Co-op can provide you with the opportunity to combine paid, practical work experience in an area that is directly related to your area of study. You can gain valuable work experience with small, medium and large organizations in BC, Canada, and around the world before graduating. You will be able to alternate work and study terms by combining the knowledge you acquire in the classroom with invaluable work experience. SFU’s Co-operative education program is internationally renowned, with nearly seventy percent of SFU’s co-op graduates being hired by employers they met during their co-op experience. SIAT students regularly obtain competitive positions with companies including: Research In Motion (www.rim.net/), Blast Radius (www.blastradius.com), Business Objects (www.businessobjects.com), BMO (www.bmo.com) and others.
