Gordon Pritchard brings decades of corporate experience and senior management expertise to SIAT, developed through a number of West Coast private and public startups. A pragmatist, with both an eye for detail and the ability to navigate uncharted "big picture" waters, Gordon is responsible for all aspects of the SIAT Research Labs at the SFU Surrey
Campus, including:
- Planning, directing, and administering Research funding
- Designing, overseeing construction, acceptance and operation of Specialized Lab spaces, the general Research workspaces, and portions of the SFU Surrey Campus
- Architecting, building and administering the Research computing network, comprised of over 150 servers and 100 workstations
- Representing Research to local, regional, national and international organizations, businesses and institutions.
Mr. Pritchard graduated from Queen's University with a B.Sc. (E) in 1986, and enthusiastically pursues on-going professional and personal development. Mr. Pritchard has given keynote presentations at the CCTA (Canadian Cable Telecommunications Association) conferences, contributed internationally to US FCC (Federal Communications Commission) policy-making, and has various print/web publication credits. He is active in a wide variety of professional and industry associations, including the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of BC.
