Bio Informatics
BioInformatics is the application of computational knowledge to the field of biology. Working with biologists, we create tools for the analysis and visualization of biological data, along with the computation of biopotentials and biosignals.
Our faculty are interested in a broad range of computational questions that relate to biological data. These include the analysis of genomic data in microbes, the visualization of cell-surface antibodies on samples of human tissue, the comparison of biological data across species, and the use of biosignals to help people modulate their chronic pain.
