Humans, Visualizations & Interfaces (HVI) Lab

The HVI Lab is a large lab comprising three research groups (dvv, BioVis and Emie) with a current membership of three faculty members and approximately 16 graduate students. Some of the specialized equipment includes autostereo and passive stereo displays; large touch-based wall screens; a large interactive touchscreen table; 3d interaction devices; and a wide variety of visualization and modeling software tools.

The EMIIE video game group hosts specialized gaming equipment including PCs custom built with GeForce Nvidia cards to handle current game real-time rendering, Xbox 360, Wii, PS2 and games (BoomBlocks, Alone in the Dark, Fable II, etc).
