Diane Gromala appointed to National Pain Centre

SIAT's Canada Research Chair, Diane Gromala, PhD, has been appointed to the National Faculty of the Michael G. DeGroote National Pain Centre, a world leader in resolving the problem of chronic pain through basic science, clinical care and education.
Dr. Gromala will be working on the national initiative for Patient/Public Education and best practices guidelines with physicians, pharmacists, policy makers, epidemiologists, biostatisticians and healthcare researchers from the Canadian Pain Coalition, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), and the McMaster and Hamilton Health Sciences Centre, the largest university-affiliated pain centre in Canada.
Dr. Gromala is the founding director of the multidisciplinary Transforming Pain Research Group.
