posted: november 4. 2009
Congratulations to Steve DiPaola, whose art/science exhibition “Evolving Darwin Gaze” is coming back to Canada. After being exhibited at the MIT Museum as one of the keystone pieces of the largest science festival in the US, and then exhibited at the Kings Art Centre, Cambridge University, for the major UK Darwin Festival, the exhibition, which explores computation creativity by using Darwinian evolution in computer form, will now move to the University of Toronto.
"Evolving Darwin Gaze" will be mounted in Victoria College as part of "150 Year After Origin" which is Canada’s major Darwin scholarly festival sponsored by The Institute of the
History and Philosophy of Science and Technology (IHPST).
The installation and video exhibit will be mounted from Nov 21 to 24; as well, Steve will be speaking at the conference on Nov 24. See http://www.darwinsgaze.com or
http://www.hps.utoronto.ca/darwin for additional information. A number of SIAT graduate students have been instrumental in the making of the exhibit.
