FREE TA Training - Register Now

posted: december 24. 2009

SIAT encourages our TAs to attend the Surrey campus TA professional development workshops.

If you hold a TA position in the spring semester then there are up to 6 hours of time included in your TUG as per the TSSU Collective Agreement (Article XV.N.1) which can be used to attend training sessions. Participation in TA training is voluntary and if you do not use the hours they are to be assigned to other tasks supporting course delivery.   If you participate in more than 6 hours of training then the balance of hours is voluntary.  When you review your TUG/position with the course instructor in the first week of the semester please discuss your attendance in this program.

If you do not hold a TA position in the spring semester you can still attend the training in preparation for future positions.

Four workshop sessions have been planned by the Learning and Instructional Development Centre (LIDC).  These workshops will take place on Wednesdays from 12:30 to 2:30pm starting on January 6, 2010.
